First blind saxophone band set up in Xinjiang

A saxophone band composed of blind children was set up in Urumqi on December 2. The band practiced for the first time that afternoon in Urumqi School for the Blind.

The teachers patiently explained how to play saxophone to the children. The band is composed of 13 blind children and several teachers. According to one of the teachers, the band will expand in the future and hopes to eventually become an orchestra.
