The Chinese team was composed of 18 athletes, the youngest being 14 years old, and the oldest 33. They had limited time for training before the competition, but the athletes tried their best. Du Haitao, an armless athlete on the male standing team reached the final round; and Chu Beibei, mother of two children, ranked fifth in both the 2.5 and 12 kilometer competitions in the female sitting group.

The Chinese cross-country ski team achieved their best results since China won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics.
