China Disabled Persons' Federation
On May 12, 2008, an 8.0 magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. The devastating earthquake caused tens of thousands lives lost, with more than 300,000 injured, a large number of them are facing the risk of becoming disabled. Thousands of houses and buildings collapsed, homes lost.
CDPF, as a national disabled persons’ federation, is engaged itself in rescue, relief and recovery for people with disabilities in this area. In the meanwhile, it is seeking international support and cooperation to help the survivors of the disaster.

----Building rehabilitation centers for the disabled;
----Providing fund for reconstruction of houses for the disabled;
---- Donating subsidiary equipment for the disabled, such as wheelchairs, canes, etc.
