Shortly after the 8 magnitude earthquake happened in Sichuan province, southwest China, the CDPF has joined the fight against the disaster and offered aid to the quake-stricken area by every means.

A large number of people with disabilities were terribly affected by the catastrophe and numerous survivors face the risk of becoming disabled. The CDPF has mobilized its all resources to relieve the disaster. Tens of millions collected by CDPF from its staff and all sectors of society have been transferred for disaster relief. The first batch of donation in kind has arrived in Sichuan, which included the badly needed food, drinking water, tents, blankets, medicines, medical treatment equipments and assistive devices. China Rehabilitation and Research Center, affiliate of CDPF, has dispatched professional medical teams to the epicenter for emergency aid.

 CDPF’s affiliates and nationwide local organizations are also playing their positive role in helping the victims of the earthquake.
