In the wake of the 8.0 magnitude earthquake in Wenchuan of Sichuan Province in May 12, 2008, the Board of directors of The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) in the U.S immediately pledged a USD 15,000 to China Disabled Persons’ Federation to provide nutritious food and/or clear water to survivors of the devastating earthquake.
The Prem Rawant Foundation is very active in helping people with disabilities in China. In March of 2008, TPRF signed an agreement with CDPF to provide financial support of USD 150,000 to assist disabled students in Guangxi Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with nutritious foods.
On behalf of the recipients in the area of the earthquake and the disabled students in the two regions, CDPF would like to express its sincere appreciation to TPRF for its generous support and will make sure all the funds are used according to the agreements.
