栏目：走进英语世界 实用英语会话第九单元 问路 我国是一个名胜古迹众多的文明古国，每年有数以万计的国际友人到我国旅游观光。他们人地生疏，"问路"是司空见惯的。我们应怎样回答他们的问题呢?在本单元中就介绍一些"问路"的应答简易用语和会话，供读者参考。 Part 1 Easy Colloquial Expressions 1.Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the Great Wall? 劳驾，请问去长城的路怎样走? 2.I'm sorry, I don't know. 对不起，我不知道。 3.Can you tell me how to get there? 你能告诉我到那儿的路吗? 4.I'm sorry, I have no idea where it ix. 对不起，我不知道在哪儿。 5.Ask someone else, please. 请问别人吧。 6.Thank you all the same. 尽管如此，还是要谢谢你。 7.Can you tell me where the Great Hall of people is? 你能告诉我人民大会堂在哪儿吗? 8.It's over there. 在那边。 9.Straight on, then turned left, at the second crossing. 一直往前走，在第三个路口向左转。 10.Could you tell me where the nearest post office is? 你能告诉我离这儿最近的邮局在哪儿吗? 11.It's two blocks straight ahead. 一直往前走，过两个街区就是。 12.Which direction is it to the theater? 到戏院去往哪儿走? 13.Turn left at the next corner. 到前面的转变处向左转。 14.How far is it to the university? 到大学去有多远? 15.It's a long way from here. 离这儿有很长的一段路。 16.You'd better take a taxi. 你最好坐出租车去。 17.The restraunt is across the street from the hotel. 饭店就在旅馆的街对面。 18.You can't miss it. 你不会找不到的。 19.Should I go this way, or that way? 我应该从这边走，还是从那边走? 20.Go that way for two blocks, then turn left. 往那边走，过两个街区，然后向左转。 Part 2 Key points 一、It's two blocks straight ahead.一直往前走，过两个街区就是。 上句中的"It"是无人称代词，用来诉说距离。在该句中虽有动词表示行为，但无行为者于是就用"It"替代。 在英语口语中，"it"的用法很多，主要用法如下： 1.代词"it"可用来指除人以外的一切生物和事物，没有阴阳性之分。如： There is a strong horse under the tree. It belongs to the army.树下有一匹壮马，它是属于部队的。 2.用"it"来替代前面叙述的事物。如：What id this? It is a pen.这是什么?它是一支 钢笔。 3.用"it"指叙述的一件事物。如： Is it true that he has failed?他失败了是真的吗? 以上这种用法，"it"在句子中没有具体的意思，只是帮助把真主语移至句子的后部去，可 使句子显得灵活一些。有对真主语由于过长，人们就用"it"作为形式主语放在句首。 "it"指天气、时间、距离以及环境等情况。如： It was very fine yesterday.昨天天气很好。 在上面介绍的20句简易用语中曾多处用到"it"，读者可参阅体会。 二、Which direction is it to the theater? 到剧院去往哪儿走? 在英语中，打听路可有多种问法，除上面问法外，还可以说: Can you direct me to……? 或"Can you tell me the way to……?或Can you tell me how to get to……?等，他们 的意思都是一样。译成汉语是"你能告诉我到……的路吗?"答语可根据不同情况进行回答 ，请参看第一部"简易用语"。 Part 3 short situational Dialogues (A)A: Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the station? 劳驾，请告诉我去车站的路好吗?
